I am a Registered Yoga Teacher with Interdisciplinary Yoga and active member of Yoga Alliance/Omega. I started pursuing the disciplines of yoga and meditation in 1995. In August of 2003, I graduated from Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica. I decided to study at the Nosara Yoga Institute because of its approach and philosophy in practicing Hatha yoga.

Interdisciplinary Yoga is based on hatha yoga - the yoga of action. It is often thought of as the yoga of harmonizing the opposites or polarities that occur in the human experience by using body and breath to induce harmony.

Interdisciplinary Yoga combines conditioning movements, traditional philosophy, and a non-judgmental loving style that is unique to its kind. Conditioning Movements teach the student's body and mind to center in a slow and repetitive way so the body can find clarity and balance to better open, stretch, and heal. This practice aids in the healing of previous injuries, tight muscles, energy blockages, and emotional imbalances.

I am also educated and experienced in Feldenkrais and Alexandria Technique, Iyengar Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and Bikram Yoga. I have my Personal Fitness Instructor certification and I am an active and insured member of British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association.
